Boundaries Course, Online (Fall 2020)

How different could your life be if you had healthy relationships?

The Boundaries Course takes participants on a journey. It’s spiritual growth, challenge to change, problem-solving, recovery, and hope, all rolled into one.

Like all growth, the course will be a challenge. Many, in the process of improving themselves, developing their sense of personal responsibility, and taking ownership over their lives, find themselves facing hard truths about the family they grew up in, the state of their present relationships, addictive behaviors, and codependency. But, many also find the cohort community to be the ideal circumstance to explore such things, a place of openness and love.

This is a multi-part course, with video content developed by Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend, who serve as Christian counsellors and clinical psychologists. Because each session builds on the last, we recommend that attendees attend all the sessions.

Location: Online by Zoom (attendees will receive a meeting login information before the course begins).

Prerequisite: Have read or be reading Boundaries by Henry Cloud and John Townsend (purchase link).

  1. I am with NCFC and would like to register for the boundaries course.
I understand that it is free for the first 20 nurses.
    I cannot register without paying.
Please register me and send me the information and the Zoom link.
    Thank you.

    1. Hi Dita,

Your registration did go through, a few times. They appear as incomplete since payment was not submitted. That will work for our purposes as long as all the contact information is filled in, everything but the payment. If the others who register as part of the NCFC do the same, that will be fine. It would be helpful if those who are part of the NCFC put “NCFC” at the end of their last name if possible. If you have any questions, Dita, feel free to call me at 613-818-3260.

  2. Hi, are all the 7 dates for the same one conference? Or are there many occurrences of the conference between October and November?
    Thank you

    1. Post

      Hi Matthew,

Sometimes Isaiah 40 does a “Boundaries Conference” where all the sessions happen over the course of a few days. This is a different format, less a conference and more a multi-session online “course.” We’ll do one session per week for several weeks, and over all eight sessions are one “unit” to cover the Boundaries material.

  3. Hi! I lead a small youth group every other Wednesday, but I would like to join the Boundaries course this fall. This would mean I would miss half of the content. Can I still join the Boundaries course? I have read the Boundaries book many times and, after my last read this summer, I realized I was missing a Boundaries support group as recommended in Chapter 14 of the book (Developing Healthy Boundaries: Resistance to Boundaries) with whom I can express my challenges, lean on, get feedback, role play, be encouraged to keep practicing. After searching on the Web, I couldn’t find any (I found many for dealing with addiction or for marital betrayal, but none for boundaries in general). I would definitely be interested in joining/collaborating to make a support support group where we can to discuss how we are trying to apply these principles and how can we improve. Thank you!
